Taking shelter (open m/m)

Fenris was the alpha of a relatively small pack. After having trouble with keeping up with the sky rocketing property taxes and rent prices, he had to leave his old pack and move out from the suburbs into a more rural and out of the way area. Although the property and the rent was cheap, the price of food and fuel was a couple dollars more expensive. He had come across this interesting meek and timid girl at a party he had been invited to. Being purebred of noble blood, he was fully aware of his physically imposing size and intimidating stature, and he did not have to put up a tough guy act or be an insecure hyperaggressive prick to be assertive. In that party he was awkward despite drawing the attention to many prospective mates who would eventually fight with each other over mating rights.

When he came across Lucy, it was easy for her not to be scared into a fainting goat as he was sitting down. His relaxed voice was deep and carried well. It was...reassuring. You could call it alluring...desirable. His scent was intoxicating and reeked of testosterone and wolf in spite of him using a special shampoo and cologne. There was a super inviting aura about him, and the way he spoke that would inspire Lucy to side with him. He did agree to give her a place to stay so long as she was okay with being around a freaking giant. 

The first night was a little awkward as he looked up at her strangely after asking permission to enter the kitchen. He cocked his head in confusion before he nodded slowly. His eyes narrowed to her next statement. "Uh, no sure why I would not let you into the kitchen" he muttered before he pointed to the meat on the stove. "I've made lunch, dinner, or whatever you want to call it" he said rather apathetically.

Lucy was used to cruelty, she was used to her old Alpha using her body whenever he wanted. That was her life and she had never questioned it. That was until she turned twenty-one, her Alpha had been particularly vicious to her during a full moon. Her room was bathed in blood and Lucy had been clinging to life. That was when she decided to flee, to save herself. She remembered that there had once been a kind Alpha she had met when her old Alpha had thrown a party for nearby packs, so Lucy had fled to his pack with only the clothes on her back. He had been kind to her, he hadn't tried to intimidate or make her feel tiny like her old Alpha did. As far as her old Alpha was concerned he owned her body and it was his to use as he wished. Walking out of the bedroom she had been given in this new packhouse dressed in a soft pastel blue summer dress that reached the top of her knees, heading downstairs to the kitchen Lucy stopped in the doorway seeing the Alpha in the kitchen with his back to her.

He was handsome, Lucy could admit that without a second thought. There was nothing she had seen about him so far that she didn't like. He gave off such a gentle energy that Lucy just wanted to crawl into the same bed as him and curl up into his arms so he could protect her but Lucy would never climb into an Alpha's bed without being invited. Running a hand through her hair as she stayed standing in the doorway she shuffled her feet a little nervously, "Is it okay if I come into the kitchen?" Lucy asked softly as she stayed in the doorway. Her old Alpha had never allowed her to go anywhere without his permission and as such she had to ask her new Alpha where she could go just in case she upset him.

"If you'd rather I not, I can wait" she added after a moment of being quiet. Wrapping her arms around herself Lucy hugged herself tightly her hands wrapped around her elbows as if she was worried that he might get angry at her question. If there was anything Lucy didn't want to do it was piss off this man who had granted her sanctuary. As she stood there Lucy wondered what she could do for this man to show him that she was grateful for him helping her, would he request something of her or would he just allow her to live there without asking anything? Running her eyes over the man she bit her bottom lip a little with a small frown, the full moon would be the next day and Lucy had already seen some of the males and females in the pack already acting so horny. She knew she would shut herself away in her room as Lucy knew all too well that it would not be safe for her, a new, unmated wolf to be around a new pack during the full moon when hunting and mating were the only things on everyone's minds.

In their world of wolves, Lucy was a meek, timid mouse.
