the words hurt but while guarding Lady Hitomiko she witness for herself the tragic life of Inuyasha sometime after inuyasha seal was broken Sess showed up again laid his rapid brother out then handed her the bandana she wore and told her she forgot it "you did not need to come here for that" she said then turned when she was asked what was going on but that question went unanswered as thankfully inuyasha attacked and had to be bound to someone with he beaded necklace that someone happened to be the miko Sango be hired to guard. She wasn't sure that was wise... but later after Lady Hitomiko made Inuyasha do a hard face-fault into the ground the pup seemed to calm down some

Sango bore witness as inuyasha, a very strong man in his own right was brought to tears over the death of the woman he loved. the great lord then appeared behind her and said he had to talk. As she followed him into a hut she wiped the UN-shed tears from her eyes in sympathy of what the younger brother endured and the loss he suffered then while she was still raw he told her they could be nothing more then friends. Sango nodded to his words "I understand" she replied sounding hollow nothing like how she was when they bantered it was like a spark was extinguished dowsed in the deep pool of the harsh reality of their world. oh she looked the same and was as sexy as when he first met but now well it was like she was a shell of her usual self "I guess It is better to know this now." she said as it gave her time to give up on him.

She had to think of the future and it could not be with him. She understood now what the miko meant by the hardship understood when inuyasha told her that loving a youkai only brought pain and death and that everyone who showed him some shred of decency to him eventually left him. Sango then left the hut and went to Inuyasha. "I will not leave thee any time soon... should you need me I will be there and thank you for what you said to me your right I should not had loved him, but that has died now. Also I also want you all to know I plan to live as long as life allows I want you to know I am here for you and will be your comrade, Lord Inuyasha. I hope I can be of assistance to you someday." Sango also shook his hand as she offered him her friendship. "now if you all excuse me I need to be alone." Sango replied.

Sango then mounted Kilala and the two flew off... She needed time alone to sort out what she would do now... she had lost it all, even before she even had anything to lose. Sango laughed dryly to that thought. But there was no humor at all in the sound. She rode Kilala to the closest cleansing spring. She stripped and entered the water while Kilala stood guard. After she entered into the cleansing spring, Sango picked up a sakura branch then whacked the mark with it to remove it she kept at it until it bleed. She washed it in the spring then she bandaged the wound as best she could. Sango then went to work using he sakura branch on her body in the purifying water Sango knew Lady Hitomiko would be safe in the village her job was complete for the time being since she was not need again until they left the village and being alone here gave her time to remove all evidence of the daiyoukai from her body and her heart. she knew they may meet again, but she told herself to remain civil towards him in the future. This would prevent the boundary he put between them from being crossed..

When I say we will cross paths frequently, I meant it" I told her before I patted at her rear. "What were you doing outside of the village!?" he raised his voice. I let her hand go and walked off, which the chieftain watched me. "Thank you for saving my daughter" he said sincerely. I stopped but did not look back. "She wasn't in any danger...she was fully capable in handling herself" I said before I transformed into my giant dog beast form and leaped beyond the tall fortified walls of the village. Kohaku and the others gasped at such a fearsome sight before the elder looked towards Sango hoping things were sinking in for her. The Chieftain took in a deep breath and closed his eyes. "I'm going to ask you again...what were you doing outside of the village? Did you try to seek out Lord Sesshomaru against my orders?" he asked. The women seemed to know what were going on as they gossiped about how she held my hand and the hickey on her neck. The chieftain glared at them annoyed, but he gritted his teeth deep down knowing that this were possibly true. He sighed heavily and left his daughter. "Don't do it again..." he said lowly. Kohaku looked at him surprised not expecting him to be so lenient on insubordination.

Later in the day, the chieftain came back to check on his daughter, which she were grooming Kirara. "Sango?" he asked awkwardly as he crossed his arms over his chest. "What's going on between you and Lord Sesshomaru?" he asked seeming to be in disbelief asking her this. The elder cleared his throat as he stood behind his son. I believe Kirara knows where this place is" he said, which Kirara's head perked up. The Elder continued. "I need for you to speak with their elder about the events of 50 years ago. I want you to tell her about my suspicions that the events were a ruse to obtain the jewel. I believe that Kikyo knew this and that's why she asked for the jewel to be burned with her. More importantly, I don't think it will be gone forever" he said. The chieftain looked at him surprised. "What? What makes you think that?" he asked. The elder sighed. "I've been meditating inside Midoriko's cave, and I can still sense the battle still going on. I suspect that Kikyo's grave might be robbed" he said. A young woman in miko clothing approached them with Kohaku, and she looked at Sango intensely as if she knew that Sango had been in bed with a yokai. "Yes, That is why I'm here. I were attacked by a hanyo who goes by the name of Naraku. He has the power to change his body in any way he pleases, and he can control corpses and unconscious bodies. Since you two are the best, I'm going to need you as my body guards along this journey" she said.

As they all flew towards Kaede's village, Kohaku looked towards the woman being able to sense her power. "Lady Hitomiko...You're a very powerful priestess, why would you possibly need us as body guards?" he asked. She sighed heavily. "Naraku has tried to take my life before, and he'll try to do it again. I know what he's going to do once we get there, and I hope that you two won't be needed" she said before she looked at Sango caught off guard, but she nodded. "That's right, He's going to try to break the seal on InuYasha" she said. Kohaku looked at them confused. "Who is InuYasha?" he asked. Hitomiko sighed. "InuYasha is a hanyo...he so happens to be the son of the great dog yokai" she said as she looked at Sango seeming to know Sango has an idea on how powerful InuYasha could be. Kohaku laughed nervously. "He's just a hanyo, how difficult could he be?" he muttered. Hitomiko shook her head. "Don't underestimate him, just a drop of the great dog yokai's blood is stronger that a common oni. Just consider a human who has half of his blood...hundreds? thousands? tens of thousands of oni?" she said. Kohaku gasped. "So, is he like Lord Sesshomaru then?" he asked. Hitomiko flinched and looked at him. "No...Lord Sesshomaru is beyond comparison. He's probably just as powerful, and I only pray he's as benevolent as his father for our sake" she said before she looked back at Sango.

They landed in the village before they were greeted by Kaede. Hitomiko told Kaede about the dangers before she pulled out a sake. "Don't worry, I have a little insurance of my own" she said. There were a commotion outside as indeed InuYasha's seal had been broken, which they all ran outside. Kohaku got his sickle out before Kaede pulled out the bag and started to chant holding out the beads. InuYasha snorted before he jumped up and were about to thrash his claws at them when I popped in to give him a light tap on the check that so happened to send him smashing through the side of a building. The beads had managed to successfully transfer onto InuYasha's neck, but they were hardly needed. Everyone gawked at me and how easily I laid my little brother out, but he were nothing compared to what I could do. Kaede fell to her knees and Hitomiko looked towards Sango sternly. "Well? I turned and began to take my leave, which InuYasha stood back up rubbing the bruise I gave him. He were surprised just as everyone at how I seemed to protect them. "What the hell is going on!? What are you doing here!?" he shouted. I sighed and leaped into the air. "Don't ask stupid questions!" I said before I flew off. InuYasha rubbed his face looking at Kaede. "What the hell is going on? Why are you an old hag!" he shouted pointing at Kaede. Kaede looked at Hitomiko, and she sighed. "Heel!" she said calmly. InuYasha's necklace started to glow, and his face hit the ground. "He truly did love her" she said before she looked towards Sango. "I owe you an apology..." she said before she gulped. "I thought that the yokai were incapable in caring for humans, so naturally I just thought you were just being used for sex. I was foolish to be so harsh on you" she said. Kohaku looked at them confused. "What? Sister, what is she talking about?" he asked. Kaede sighed. "Don't worry about it child, It's between your sister and Lady Hitomiko" she said. Anyone who has shown me a shred of decency has been taken away from me!" he said harshly. Hitomiko bit her lip and let Sango say what she needed to. "InuYasha...I'm not going to leave you. That necklace on your neck seals your fate to me, and I would like for you to stay at my shrine" she said. InuYasha looked up at her coldly, but it were more in response to a gust of wind. "Sesshomaru's here..." he said harshly. I poked stood behind Sango. "I need to speak with you..." I said to her before I turned back to the village. Hitomiko looked at me and sighed. I waited for her to follow me into the hut she were staying the night in. I removed my armor and boots before I stepped up on the floor. "I hope you can see what boundaries there are between us" I mentioned. I hoped she could see that I did not age, and that she would die making me cry over her grave. I also hoped she could see the pain InuYasha went through being a hanyo. I brought out a bottle of sake and poured myself a cup. "It's a painful fact, but...I have no problems being close friends with you, it that's what you want" I told her.

That same nose also told him the woman that drew his interest had not left. She heard his relived sigh then he spoke. She hoped saying that would douse this relationship he was starting, the last thing her desire and lust needed was this powerful demon intoxicated by alcohol. But what made it worse was even though he was intoxicated his aura still attracted her the man oozed power her body recognized it ever since he had passed by her and reacted to the man and she silently cursed that fact and that his powerful aura had also activated her desire 'damn...' more bad news was he still did not leave for she heard him continue his rambling "You know your village has had countless run-ins with my family. It would only be fitting that we'll end up crossing paths regularly"

Sango countered in correction then bit her tongue. didn't she promise not to talk to him if by the off chance she encounter him again. yet here she was bantering with him while attempting to ignore the premise of his words that she should give into her lust. On top of that his talk of destiny opened up doors for something more on the lines of romance Intending this was a deeper relation ship to him then just banter causing him to inwardly curse and wonder what he was doing and berating himself for his actions telling himself she was just a human, nothing less and definitely nothing more. However his body told a very different story.

I had a genuine chuckle at her response as she tried to keep herself closed off, but I were not concerned with this encounter becoming anything more than just banter. "I doubt that...I can smell it all over you woman, and I could hear your heart skip and you hold your breath. Yet you still think you can merely wish me away?" I asked before I pulled out my sword. I may have had a few cups of sake, but man it were a little stronger than I thought. "You know woman...If you're the strongest in the village, then why worry about being lectured? My loins were swelling up again, but thanks to being a little more relaxed, I started to feel my pants bulge. "You know your village has had countless run-ins with my family. My mind were not caring at this point to be upholding a bravado as I found an attractive woman who I could tolerate. "I am not trying to prove anything to them!" she shouted then forced herself to calm down yelling at him would not change anything even if it did help her feel better to release the frustration then to keep it corked up she knew actions will speak more then any words she could say if she showed him this anger then she would lose. She needed to be as calm as him or as close as she could come then maybe he would give her a little respect that however did not happen he walked passed her his aura almost bringing her to he knees yet she remained standing even though her heart skipped a beat at the closeness She frowned to herself at the 'ba-thump' sound it made He then left leaving her alone drenched in blood that was not her own and in her own arousal towards the daiyoukai.

On the walk home she got a lecture from her father it was similar to the one the elder gave Kohaku telling her she should not go against the demon Sesshoumaru that doing so was a death wish yet she survived not only that but the man even spared her beloved brother. She was aware of this fact as her father left to give Kohaku a lecture and an incentive to not repeat the act. She frowned to the elder as he mused on the event and said something odd; something about Sess not being unlike his father after all. She did not understand the words, so she choose to ignore them.

Later that night she entered the bathing house alone and after taking a nice warm bath. she relaxed and let the events of the day along with her cares just wash away. She more felt his arrival then heard it and silently cursed as her body reacted to his presence. He then spoke to her; "So tell me woman...Do you feel weak around my presence? Or do you feel lust around my presence?" She did not see his smirk but hearing the question, she could image his smug look as he knew she felt both towards him. "neither" she replied to his question. She had spunk in spades that was certain. "go away!" Sango said in a stern voice "I am already in trouble from our earlier encounter." Sango then became silent as she sank down in the bath, hoping the water would wash away her lust. She did not know by doing that made the steam sent the scent straight to the man who had all the power and damn it all the man even knew it.
