I'd say it is post modern. Been a hundred years since the catastrophe, and there is SOME surviving modern technology, but not too much.

I'm thinking a goddess of life was killed, which caused a catastrophic occurance that leads to a magic apocalypse.

The goddess is reborn, her powers going to a human woman, while her immortality and physical form is a inara demoness

The idea of a magic post apocalypse is pretty interesting. Would it be like the aftermath of a global war with gods of one region facing off against gods of another and the waste left behind is where the survivors have to inhabit? Or are you thinking a different kind?
